Duffy Property Group are seeking a high calibre Contracts Manager, to manage a large scale residential site. This role will report to the Construction Director, with specific responsibility to ensure successful delivery of the project in order for the company to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.

Role & Responsibilities

Manage projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget and to specification.

Negotiating subcontracts including subcontractor costs, timeframes and resources.

Planning critical dates and organising and scheduling resources accordingly.

Reporting to Company Directors on a weekly basis, on the progress of projects, the management of resources and the associated costs.

Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.

Checking plans, drawings and supervision of subcontractors across the project.

Resolving unexpected technical difficulties and dealing with any problems which arise.

Leading regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and reporting on project programme, H&S, BCAR, utility and design status.

Working closely with project QS on commercial aspects of project including contract works and variations

Leading quality control and high level safety measures on sites.

Leading direct staff and subcontractors on site.

Dealing with technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultants and providers in regards to RFIs.
The Candidate

Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred

10+ years experience with Main Contractor in a management role

Excellent communication skills, well organised and able to meet deadlines

Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels

Ability to lead with confidence, mentor and motivate staff.

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.

Strong IT knowledge and familiar with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Project
