Duffy Property Group welcomes the announcement that the High Court has upheld the planning permission for the Rosshill Manor SHD development.
Judicial Review was taken against the planning permission granted by An Bord Pleanála in October 2021. Earlier this month Justice Richard Humphreys ruled against the challenge by the applicants and confirmed the planning permission granted by the Board remain
The Rosshill development will transform a 11.6-acre greenfield site into a residential neighbourhood, featuring 102 residential units comprising 67 houses and 35 apartments. The development will also include a childcare facility, commercial retail unit and integrated woodland and parkland outdoor areas, catering to the diverse needs of future residents whilst safeguarding the sylvian character of the area.
Mike Duffy, Director at Duffy Property Group, commented: “We are relieved that the judicial review has now concluded after a three-year delay and that the Court has upheld the planning permission initially granted by An Bord Pleanála. We started the planning process with this site back in 2019 and now want to get on with the business of providing much needed new homes for families in Galway. Rosshill is a much sought after location and we have had hundreds of enquiries from families wishing to live here. Duffy Property Group now look forward to working on this significant project which will provide employment, services and infrastructure enhancing the area for the community.”
Details in relation to homes coming to market in the development will be released in the coming months. The scheme is poised to break ground before the end of the year.
